Angel Reese

Angel Reese is probably putting the finishing touches to her pre-game fit as she and the Dream get ready to face the Liberty in Game 2 of the semi-finals. Atlanta demolished New York in style and are looking quite confident for the next game which will kick off in a few hours.

Reese is clearly flying high at the moment, with the baller making her playoff debut in her first season with the Dream. The baller was unable to do so in her first two years in the league when she was stuck with the Sky franchise.

Throughout this post-season, Reese has been sizzling on the court, with the baller’s attitude to the playoffs being just as if it were any other game. There is no nervousness or fidgeting or fumbling in Reese’s play and it seems like the hooper has her teammates to thank for this. Reese gave her flowers to her team when asked about her playoff debut, with Angel highlighting the fact that her Dream mates have been boosting her confidence plenty, while also not treating her like a fragile doll.

“Nobody’s gonna feel sorry for me that this is my first playoffs. Like, people are coming at you, and they know that. They have my back. They’re always there for me, and I really appreciate that because I mean, it is my first time… But at the same time, like, they know what I’m able to do and I’m willing to do. And all season is no different from what it was before…” Angel Reese said as reported by Wilton C. Jackson II.

Angel Reese’s words simply indicate the level of trust that seems to be there in the Dream locker-room. If your teammates don’t trust you, they are not going to give roles to you. And, if you don’t trust your teammates, you’re not going to play so confidently. Reese has been blessed to be in a team like Atlanta for her playoff debut, with the team-spirit and unity running strong in the Dream team.

Angel Reese’s Team Will Need To Work Around Allisha Gray’s Absence

On another note, Angel Reese’s Dream team has already run into a slight dilemma with Allisha Gray’s absence. Gray is out with a hand injury and the team will be moving into Game 2 against the Liberty without her.

For Atlanta, this means that more will be expected out of DeWanna Bonner, which should be easy considering how incredible she played in Game 1. Gray’s absence also means that Atlanta will need to tap into their unity a lot more if they hope to make up for the missing guard’s power.
