As someone who works closely with athletes, I cannot stress the incredible number of times when an athlete’s performance has bloomed all because of their romantic partner. At the same time, I have also seen a number of players lose it all because of a failed romance.
As an athlete, you need to choose your partner quite carefully. You need someone who will not be afraid to give you your spotlight. You also need someone who’s ready to make tons of sacrifices, just as sports demands of you. Until then, you have to patiently wait for the right time until your A’ja/Bam comes along.
